The objectives and goals of the NYSSO are to:
Advance the art, research, and science of Orthodontics
Contribute its part in health services to the public
Represent the specialty of Orthodontics in the State of New York
Promote friendship and understanding between its members
Maintain a cooperative relationship with New York State Dental Association
